Wow. these years are slipping by fast! Can you believe Driving Events has just celebrated its 16th year in business! A business like this cannot exist without strong support so I would like to take this opportunity to wish you are your family all the best for the upcoming holiday season and thank you for your patronage. Once again we have planned a full calendar of events for 2024. Track events will again rotate around the various venues. Thanks to Tony Quinn's acquisition of QLD Raceway improvements are ongoing on the infrastructure so it can only be a matter of time before the actual circuit gets a facelift. I again look forward to another exciting year. Have a safe Christmas / New Year and look for to seeing you back in - 2024!
Feature Events in 2024
Targa Tasmania and Targa Great Barrier Reef
We all look forward to continuing our love affair with the gorgeous roads that the Tasmania and Cairns regions present however this will have to wait a little longer following the recent announcement that once again Targa Tasmania has been postponed until 28 April to 3 May 2025. The ongoing coronial inquest and time to implement all relevant recommendations from this process reasons for the delay. Rest assured we are still fully committed to providing tour options at these events into the future. Details of our 2025 tours will be provided as soon as available.
Congratulations to Scott Hinds on his victory in the 2022/23 series. Scott did not have it all his own way however winning by a mere 5 points from Jack Kieseker after 6 hard fought rounds. A shiny set of Yokohama's finest is on the way plus a test in our Radical SR3. Thank you to all who competed this year and special thanks to our sponsors - Yokohama Tyres and Retromotive Magazine and Radical Race Experience for their generous support. Details are still to be confirmed for a potential 2024 series.
Tarmac Short Course Challenge
Our ever-popular DTC Tarmac Short Course Challenge at Lakeside will continue in 2024. This is a great way to enjoy your car safely and inexpensively in gymkhana style events. Also, a great way to initiate younger drivers into more advanced driving without the pressure of competition. No special car or driver requirements. Any licenced driver eligible. Junior drivers from 14 years and up can also give it a try but require a junior AASA licence.
Track & Training Days
Once again we have set aside an array of events at QLD Raceway, Morgan Park and Lakeside. These session controlled low density track days provide the perfect opportunity to exploit the limits of your high performance road or race car and will include the usual FREE in car coaching, great lunches and of course the ever popular Powerstation Coffee!
Regular Events
Of course we will be maintaining our regular range of Defensive Driving Courses, Skid Pan, corporate and motorkhana events in 2024. Enquire for details on corporate skid pan or motorkhana challenges.
Simulator Hire & Training
Now available for driver coaching or hire for corporate events - our Motum VR Simulator. Enquire for details.
Race Experiences
Our Lotus Exiges and Radical race experiences will continue in 2024 providing the opportunity for those without their own car to take up some coaching or just have a fun experience. New for 2024 will be the Toyota GT86 Experience which will be available for track hire and coaching.

Christmas Hours
