Queensland Raceway is one of Queensland’s premier motorsport circuits, located in the Ipswich Motorsport Precinct near Willowbank, about 45 minutes west of Brisbane. Opened in 1999, the facility has become a hub for motorsport enthusiasts, training days, and competitive racing across Australia.
The circuit is often called “the paperclip” due to its simple yet effective layout. The main National Circuit runs clockwise for 3.12 km with six corners and long straights that suit a wide range of vehicles and skill levels.
Queensland Raceway supports a range of driving and racing activities. It hosts club and national-level events, drifting, ride days, roll racing, and corporate and driver training days, and has been part of major championships, including Supercars and the Australian Superbike Championship.
The facility also offers multiple layouts beyond the National Circuit, including the Clubman, Sprint, Sportsman, and Switchback variations, providing drivers with varied experiences and challenges.
Spectator viewing is excellent thanks to the flat terrain and mounds around the circuit. Queensland Raceway sits within a broader motorsport precinct that includes drag racing, karting, and off-road facilities, making it a focal point for motorsport in South East Queensland.
